The detector is equipped with a 10-year sealed lithium battery, eliminating battery changes and nuisance beeps due to low batteries for the entire life of the detector. Its built-in photoelectric smoke sensor reduces nuisance alarms from cooking smoke or shower steam. It also utilizes an electrochemical carbon monoxide detector for increased accuracy.
